In 2018 two friends set out on a journey to bring the freshest tasting sushi to Newcastle.

Simon was once been described as a bull in a China shop. One with a very gentle touch. Working in multiple fine dining restaurants on his travels as well as on Super Yachts. He'll be showcasing his own take on sushi, combining flavours that he's encountered from all over the world. A modern twist to transform the traditional..

He loves nothing more than triumphant musicals and a man with an exceptional beard.

Kurt is the youngest of the duo, working his way up to Head Chef at @aveika which is no easy feat. Creator of the best sushi in town, with a real passion for Japanese food, top quality ingredients, and intense flavours At a staggering 6’4 he’s always had his head in the clouds, but remains grounded using his massive size 12 feet.
Nicknames: ヤングワシ
Enjoys early nights with Love Actually and a nice cup of banana milk. A really all round swell guy.
